Can I start my own business?

After so many years of thoroughly enjoying all of my crafts I am seriously thinking of working for myself. And now being unemployed it feels as though it is the right time. Although finding help and practical advice is hard, and mind blowing trawling through the internet I am going to try!

Since getting my £89 Brother sewing machine from Argos and a £10 1930’s Singer Treadle sewing machine from the charity shop I have my main tools. All of my creations are made from recycled fabrics and everything else has been acquired throughout the years of hoarding, so here goes.

My main sales, hopefully, will be my bags. I am a trained adult tutor, so that too will come in handy for when my empire expands, from my bedroom, and I can have a workshop with 6 sewing machines and space to teach. But first, I have been told, I need a business plan, which I have in my head! Now to put it onto paper.
